Kenyan champions Gor Mahia FC have confirmed the signing of Ugandan international left back Shafiq Batambuze from Tanzanian side Singida United but will join the team at the start of the next Kenya Premier League season.
In a bid to strengthen our squad, we have agreed on terms with Shafik Batambuze and Kenneth Muguna and they will be part of the team next season,
club CEO Lordvick Aduda said in part of his statement on the official club website.
Batambuze who agreed a two year deal with Gor Mahia previously played for Tusker before moving to Singida of Tanzania and he will be replacing fellow country man Godfrey Walusimbi at the left back who left for Kaizer Chiefs.
Another addition is Muguna who agreed to stay at the club for three years and the midfielder is expected to add more quality to the team.
