Maroons FC head coach George “Best” Nsimbe has revealed why he chose to work with Uganda Cranes legend David Obua as his deputy at Luzira based out fit Maroons FC.

Speaking to Bigwhale sports this morning Nsimbe said,

First of all Obua is a good friend of mine and we are always on the same page in a number of issues so when I joined Maroons and I approached him to come work with me he never hesitated despite being with a number of offers from different clubs. He knows and likes what he does and him being here is a blessing to the players and team at large because he is one of a few Ugandan players to play at the top level for quite a long time and most of all impressing.

Obua began official duty at Maroons a fort night ago and began his tenure as deputy to Nsimbe on a losing note following their 3-1 loss to Bright Stars FC last Friday on match day one of the Star Times Uganda Premier League.

Maroons returns into action tomorrow (Tuesday) with another tricky tie against defending champions Vipers SC at Luzira Prison grounds.
