Ugandan Players Abroad: Full time for Iguma in Kuwait, Mawejje fabulous for Tirana, Nsibambi shines in Smouha victory

It was yet again another explosive and busy weekend for Ugandan players in the diaspora but do you know how they fared?

Our reporter Ronnie Lusulire followed them up to find out who was in and who was out.

In Morocco, Milton Karisa scored on his debut for his new side Mouloudia Club Oujda despite losing 1-3 at home to Kawkab Marrackech. Muhammad Shaban’s Raja Casablanca was not in action.

In Denmark, Moses Opondo played full time as his Vendyssel side fell 2-0 away to Randers.

Still in Denmark, midfielder Robert Kakeeto played full time for his new side Jammerburgt FC defeated Sydvest 0-3 away from home in the Division 2. His on loan from top tier side Aalborg.

In Croatia, Faruku Miya started and came off in the 88th minute for Zutic as his HNK Gorica side defeated Osijek 0-1 away from home.

In Belarus, Luwagga Kizito’s Bate Borisov returns to action tomorrow (Wednesday) away to Tarpeda.

In South Africa, Godfrey Walusimbi played full time as his Kaizer Chiefs side defeated Amazulu 2-0 at home.

Last week on Wednesday, Allan Kateregga came on in the 84th minute for Norodien as Cape Town City FC came from two goals down to draw 2-2 at Orlando Pirates while Denis Onyango wasn’t in the 18 man team as Sundowns defeated Golden Arrows 0-1 away from home.

In Greece, left back Alex Kakuba wasn’t in the 18 man squad for PAS Giannina in their 1-0 home win to Aris.

In Albania, Mawejje played full time while Yunus Sentamu was unused substitute as KF Tirana drew 1-1 away to Skenderbeu Korce.

In Austria in Liga 2 Edrisa Lubega came on in the 46th minute for Wiebmeier as Reid SV lost 1-2 at home to Austria Wien II.

In USA in the MLS, midfielder Mike Azira scored his first goal for Montreal Impact in their 1-1 home draw against David Villa’s New York City.

Still in USA in the second tier, Henry Kalungi started and went off in the 46th minute for Owundi as his Charlotte Independence side drew 1-1 at home to New York Red Bull II were Ibrahim Sekajja is deputy coach to Wolyniek.

Youthful striker Zaake Luboyera wasn’t in the 18 man team for Ottawa Furry as they fell 4-0 away to Louisville City.

In Vietnam last week on Wednesday, Moses Oloya was unused substitute as his Hanoi side defeated Hoang Anh Gia Lai 3-5 away from home while Geoffrey Baba Kizito started and came off in the 72nd minute for Le Hoang Thien as his Saigon side lost 5-0 away to Ho Chi Minh City. In England, in the National League championship, Striker IBRA Sekajja came on in the 83rd minute for Lewis as his Havant and Waterlooville side drew 1-1 away to Ebbsfleet United.

Lanky defender Bevis Mugabi played full time at right back in the English league 2 as his Yeovil Town side lost 0-3 away to Swindon Town.

In Zambia, Geoffrey Sserunkuma started while Hakim Senkumba wasn’t in the 18 man squad as Napsa Stars fell 1-0 away to Green Buffaloes.

Bayo Fahad started while Paulo Musamali and Hood Kawesa were unused substitutes as Buildcon fell 1-0 to Nchanga Rangers.

Deus Bukenya was impressive as his Police XI side defeated Security Systems 0-1 away from home.

Alfred Leku also featured for Galaxy FC in their 3-1 win over Black Forest.

In Tanzania, Emma Okwi was in while Jjuko Murushid didn’t feature as Simba defeated Mwadui 1-3 away from home.

Nicholas Wadada played full time as Azam FC defeated Alliance 0-1 away from home.

Shafiq Batambuzze played full time as his Singida side lost 2-0 to current log leaders Young Africans away from home.

In Myanmar, Striker Joseph Mpande scored a hattrick in the last league match to finish leading scorer with 18goals as his Hantharwady side defeated Ayeyawady 5-0 to finish the season in fourth position.

In Kenya, Hashim Sempala and Robert Achema started as Tusker FC drew 2-2 at home to Mathare United. Jimmy Kulaba wasn’t in the 18 man squad.

Fred Nkata and William Wadri started as Bandari defeated Nakumatt 3-1 at home.

Defender Jonathan Mugabi played full time as his Vihinga side won 0-1 away to Posta Rangers.

In Sweden, in the Allsvenskan, lanky defender Ronald Mukiibi wasn’t in the 18 man squad due to suspension as his Ostersunds FK side defeated Sirius 0-1 away from home.

In the Suprettan, Abdul Ssali Lumala played full time as his Varnamo side lost 2-1 away to Norrby and got booked in the 78th minute.

In Division One in the Nora group, Ivan Bukenya played full time and saw yellow in the 90+4 minutes as his Linkoping City FC side drew 1-1 at home to Umea FC.

Midfielder Allan Zizinga came on in the 46th minute for Kanneh as his Arameiska/ Syrianska lost 5-0 away to Team Thoren.

Martin Kayongo Mutumba wasn’t in the 18 man squad as his Syrianska side lost 1-0 away to Carlstad.
