Proline FC longest serving player joins Police FC

Proline FC longest serving player Simon Mbaziira has joined Police FC on a one year contract, Bigwhale sports reveals.

Mbaziira completed his move to the Cops last Friday which was the Uganda transfer deadline day and has promised to serve the club with one heart,

I am happy to reunite with my coach Abdallah Mubiru and I believe he will help me a lot to achieve my targets here. I want to help the club achieve it’s targets and I promise to do this with one heart.

He told bigwhale sports in an exclusive interview.

Mbaziira is a pioneer of Proline Soccer Academy that started in 2006 and was part of the Proline Youth team that travelled to Manchester in 2008.

He left for Portugal in 2011 with Alex Kakuba were he featured for Esperanca De Lagos a lower division side before returning due to failure to acquire a work permit and had a shot stint with KCCA FC under Abdallah Mubiru were he featured in the Mapinduzi cup in Zanzibar.

He later returned to Proline FC in 2015 while in Big league guiding them back to the top flight for two seasons before sinking last season.

His versatility and experience will without a doubt be very vital for Abdallah Mubiru’s side this season.

He is expected to make his debut for the Cops against Proline FC in a build up match tomorrow at Kyambogo play grounds should the Police team that went on strike today (Tuesday) over uncleared arrears turn up.

Police kicks off the Star Times Uganda Premier League season this Saturday with a home match against Bul FC at the Star Times stadium, Lugogo.
