Ugandan midfielder conducts first training at new club in India

Uganda Cranes midfielder Khalid Aucho on Thursday held his first training session with his new club Churchill Brothers FC in India.

The intelligent left footed midfield gem flew out of the country early this week to go join his new side.

Item should be recalled that earlier this year in March, Aucho signed for Bengal based side King Fisher for two years in featuring in the Super Hero Cup and later returned sighting a breach in his contract as initially agreed.

In May this year, he agreed personal terms with Churchill Brothers but was to join them after four month thus spending all that time playing in the FUFA Drum Football with Busoga Province.

He is now the fourth Ugandan currently plying his trade in India following Musa Mudde (Gokulam Kerala) Henry Kisekka (Mohun Bagan) and Kizito Keziron (Kerala Blasters).

He has previously featured for Red Star Belgrade, Baroka FC, Gor Mahia FC, Tusker FC, among others.

Churchill Brothers FC was founded in 1988 in Margao Goa and in 1996 it was a founding club of the new National football league. In 2007,the club were also a founding club in the I- league.

They are nicknamed the Red Machines and host their matches in a 6000 sitter capacity stadium known as Tilak Maidan.
