Uganda Cranes inspirational attacking midfielder Farouk Miya has vowed to give out his best on Saturday when the Cranes battle with the Taifa Stars in the AFCON 2019 qualifiers in a game that has been dubbed the “EAST AFRICAN DERBY”
Addressing the press after the team’s training on Thursday morning at the Mandela National Stadium he said,
I thank God who has enabled us successfully complete the training and I am glad to have joined the rest of the team, we are in good shape and the game on Saturday is like any other match we have played in the previous qualifiers, it’s a big and important game to us and I know we shall do our best to win since we are home.
It was the first time Miya Farouk who turns out for Croatian top tier side HNK Gorica took part of full training with the rest of the team having arrived on Wednesday.
Uganda Cranes currently tops group L with three points following their precious 0-1 win over Cape Verde in June last year in Praia thanks to a second half lone strike by veteran forward Geoffrey Sserunkuma.
