Former Proline star makes Rwanda Amavubi final squad to face Ivory Coast

Former Proline FC midfield maestro Andrew Buteera has been named in the final 26 man squad of the Rwanda Amavubi Stars ahead of the 2019 AFCON qualifier group H tie against power house Ivory Coast this weekend at the Stade Regional Nyamirambo.

The APR midfielder who was irregular under previous coach Antoine Hey started playing for the Amavubi Stars in 2011 following great displays from the national U17 side that represented Rwanda in the U17 AFCON in Rwanda and U17 FIFA World Cup in Mexico 2011.

Head coach Vicente Mashami who is well vast with Rwanda football is under pressure to deliver following his side’s 2-1 loss on match day one away to Central African Republic in June last year.

Their opponents Ivory Coast will not take things for granted this time round after losing their first game 2-3 at home to Guinea in June 2017.

Guinea currently top group H on three points same as Central African Republic.
