Uganda Cranes head coach Sebastian Desabre has this morning trimmed his squad to 24 players from the initial summoned 30.
This was after the team conducted their third non residential training at the StarTimes stadium that was attended by 23 players amongst whom included first time trainers in Kaizer Chiefs new recruit Godfrey Walusimbi, Reid SV’ Edrisa Lubega and El Merreick custodian Jamal Salim.
Amongst the dropped players Desabre included Ethiopian based midfielder Yassar Mugerwa, Isaac Isinde, Allan Kyambadde, goalkeeper Nicholas Ssebwato, Martin Kizza and Musitafa Mujuzi.
The team immediately entered residental camp at Jokas Hotel in Kireka and will resume training tomorrow at Namboole stadium in the morning with all the remaining seven foreign based players in captain Denis Onyango, Moses Opondo, Allan Kateregga, Derrick Nsibambi, Luwagga Kizito, Farouk Miya and Yunus Sentamu expected to be available.
The Cranes will play Tanzania this Saturday in the Total AFCON qualifiers at Namboole stadium in group L.

Forwards: Emmanuel Okwi, Patrick Kaddu, Edrisa Lubega, Derrick Nsibambi, Yunus Sentamu.
