How Ugandan players abroad performed over the weekend

It was yet another superb weekend for Ugandan football players in the diaspora as they represented in their respective clubs. Ronnie Lusulire brings you a detailed report on how they performed.

In SouthAfrica, Goalkeeper Denis Onyango played full time as Sundowns scooped their 8th PSL title after defeating Ajax cape Town 3-1 at the Lucas Moripe stadium.

Still in SouthAfrica, Allan Kateregga was an unused Sub as his Cape Town City side defeated Orlando Pirates 1-0 at home.

In Romania, Luwagga Kizito came on in the 69th minute for Platini as his CSM Lasi side lost 0-3 at home to Astra.

In Azerbaijan, Farouk Miya scored his second goal for Sebail as well as assisting in the other in their 1-2 away win against Sumqayit.

In Egypt, Hassan Wasswa’s El Geish drew 1-1 away against Isaac Muleme’s Asyouty Sport. Both lads featured for their respective clubs.

In Austria, Edriisa Lubega didn’t make the 18man squad as his Floridsdorfer AC fell to Watterns 2-0 away from home.

In Sweden, defender Ivan Bukenya played full time and also got booked in the 82nd minute as his FC Likonping City side drew 0-0 at home against Akropolis.

In USA in the MLS, Mike Azira came on in the 71st minute for Adjei Boateng as his Colorado Rapids side lost 1-2 at home to Orlando City.

Still in USA in the USL, defender Henry Kalungi was an unused sub as his Charlotte Independence side drew 0-0 against Indy Eleven at home.

In Portugal, left back Alex Kakuba played full time as his Feirense side defeated Vitoria Setubal 0-2 away from home.

In Vietnam, Moses Oloya played full time as his Hanoi side defeated Saigon 5-0 in the Vietnam Cup.

In Zambia, Joseph Ochaya scored once and also assisted as his Lusaka Dynamos side defeated Kabwe YSA 0-4 away from home. Goalkeeper Yasin Mugabi played full time while Yakubu Rama was not in the 18man squad.

Napsa Stars of Hakim Senkumba lost 1-2 to Nkana at home. Senkumba was an unused sub.

Kabwe Worriors of Benjamin Ochan drew 1-1 with Buildcon of Bayo Fahad, Geofrey Sserunkuma and Hood Kawesa. Ochan was an unused sub for the Worriors while we failed didn’t access the Buildcon team sheet.

Red Arrows of Samuel Sekamatte drew 1-1 with Nkwazi of Nduga Lawrence. Sekamatte started on the bench with Nduga coming on at the start of second half.

In Tanzania, Emma Okwi started while Jjuko Murushid didn’t feature as Simba SC defeated Yanga Africans 1-0 at home.

Left back Shafiq Batambuze played full time as his Singida side drew 1-1 away against Mbeya City.

In Botswana, Ivan Ntege was an unused sub as Township Rollers came from behind to defeat UF Santos 4-3 at home.

In Albania, Tony Mawejje came on in the second half while Yunus Sentamu watched from the stands as their KF Tirana side won 0-1 away against Apolonia.

In Kenya, AFC Leopards of Lukooya Baker drew 2-2 at home with Vihinga of Jonathan Mugabi. Both players started for their respective clubs.

Tusker FC defeated Sony sugars 3-2 at home. Robert Achema, Mathew Odong and Hashim Sempala all started for Tusker while Lawrence didn’t make the 18man squad.

Thika United of goalkeeper Allan Owiny and Frank Magero lost 0-3 at home to Nzoia, Both players featured for Thika.

Sofapaka of Mathias Kigonya, Rogers Aloro and Umaru Kasumba lost 0-1 at home to Wazito. Kigonya missed a penalty in this one with Aloro and Kasumba featuring as well.

Nakumatt lost 1-2 at home to Bandari of William Wadri and Fred Nkata with both players featuring.

Mathare United drew 2-2 at home against Gor mahia of Godfrey Walusimbi. Walusimbi wasn’t in the 18man squad due to financial issues with the club management.

In Ethiopia, Yasser Mugerwa and Hamis Kiiza featured for Fasil Kenema in their first leg 0-0 home draw to Adama City in the Ethiopian cup. Mugerwa played full time while Kizza was an unused sub in the return leg away from home which ended 0-0 with Fasil Kenema going on penalties this evening.
